missingWrote a review on Dec 13spa facilitiesextensive breakfastmusty smell
The spa facilities, including the sauna and steam room, provide a perfect retreat after a long day. The breakfast options are extensive, ensuring a satisfying start to the day with a variety of choices catering to different tastes.
Our room had a musty smell that lingered, making it less comfortable than anticipated. The limited restaurant menu felt basic compared to what you might expect from a hotel of this caliber. The jacuzzi and steam room were out of service during our stay, which was a letdown as these amenities could have enhanced our experience. while the pool was accessible, it was quite small and crowded with children, leaving little chance for a peaceful swim.

missingWrote a review on Dec 12leisure facilitiesextensive breakfastpoor design
The leisure facilities offer a pool open until 11 PM, perfect for unwinding after a long day. A sauna and steam room for extra relaxation. Breakfast comes with extensive choices, ensuring even the pickiest eaters find something to enjoy.
The room temperature regulation can be erratic, with some areas getting quite stuffy, especially without air conditioning. The bathroom door design is poor—it swings into the room, making it awkward to navigate, especially with beds nearby. Expect to contend with limited housekeeping services. I found myself asking for additional cleaning and amenities frequently. Lastly, the dining options, while decent, tend to have limited choices that can be a letdown compared to nearby pubs offering better fare for less.

The room was spacious and well-maintained, featuring a comfortable king-sized bed and a well-equipped workspace that catered efficiently to my business needs. The breakfast offered a diverse selection, including freshly made omelets and an assortment of pastries, which energized my mornings. Staff were very attentive, promptly addressing my requests and ensuring a smooth stay.
Wi-Fi connectivity was occasionally inconsistent.

The stay was really enjoyable. the room was fantastic with a cozy sofa and a spacious layout, and the pool was a perfect way to unwind after a long day. I loved the indoor pool and the spa facilities which made it feel like a mini getaway. My only downside was that the cooling in the room could be improved, but it didn’t ruin my overall experience! 😊

A Memorable Family Stay with Room for Improvement
Our family enjoyed a great time exploring York! The Deluxe Double Room provided ample space, and the kids loved the pool, although supervision seemed lacking. Dining had potential, but food variety needs enhancement. Plan visits during the week for quieter stays. Great family-friendly vibe overall!

The on-site bar had some top-notch brews, and the breakfast spread was simply fab—just the right fuel for adventuring around York! Plus, the hotel spa area was never crowded, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day.
Parking was a bit of a hit to the wallet, but no worries on finding a spot—plenty of space available. Just a minor quibble in the grand scheme of things!

Quiet and comfy stay
Had a nice stay for 2 nights. The location's great, just a 20-min walk to the city center. Buffet breakfast was awesome, really fuelled up for the day! The staff were super friendly and helpful. One bummer was the pool was a bit crowded at times but overall, it was a chill experience.

Perfect romantic getaway!
My fiancé and I had the best weekend! The room was super spacious, and the welcome from Martha was so warm. We loved the swimming pool and had a nice drink at the bar too. Breakfast the next day had so many options! Just wish the jacuzzi was a bit warmer during our stay.

The overall experience was enjoyable, especially the breakfast which offered a fantastic selection catering to various diets. Clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff helped with tennis court bookings. Room decor looks outdated. Noisy at night from events.

A smart choice for a fleeting trip in York with exceptional value. I was promptly moved to another room when my initial one had a chlorine smell. Consider asking for a poolside room if you enjoy that ambiance.
